In December 2025, the Association of Intelligent Engineering and Technology (AIET) officially announced the results of the 2025 Excellence Awards. The 2025 selection focused on academic contribution, technological innovation, young talent development, and international cooperation in intelligent engineering and technology. After multiple rounds of independent review, AIET recognized a group of individuals, teams, and institutions that made outstanding contributions in the relevant fields.
The 2025 Excellence Awards consisted of four categories: the Outstanding Contribution Award, Innovation Achievement Award, Young Engineer Award, and International Cooperation Award. The Outstanding Contribution Award recognizes senior experts who have long worked in intelligent engineering and technology and have formed sustained influence in academic research or industrial practice. The Innovation Achievement Award recognizes individuals or teams that have achieved breakthrough results in technology research and development, engineering application, or standards formulation. The Young Engineer Award is designed to identify and encourage young technology professionals who demonstrate outstanding potential in intelligent engineering. The International Cooperation Award recognizes individuals or institutions that have made important contributions to cross-regional academic exchange, joint research, and engineering technology cooperation.
The 2025 selection received more than 320 nominations from over ten countries and regions, covering intelligent manufacturing, industrial IoT, artificial intelligence engineering, green engineering, digital infrastructure, and other professional directions. The review process strictly followed the three-round mechanism established by AIET. The first round was eligibility screening and verification of material completeness, in which the Association Secretariat reviewed all nomination materials for compliance. The second round was independent expert review, in which reviewers from different regions and professional fields quantitatively scored nominations based on academic contribution, technological innovation, industry impact, and verifiable outcomes. The third round was collective deliberation by the final review committee, in which senior members of the AIET Academic Committee conducted comprehensive discussion and voting to determine the final list of winners.
The entire selection process fully reflected the principles of openness, fairness, and impartiality. All review experts signed conflict-of-interest avoidance declarations to ensure the objectivity and credibility of the results. In its review report, the Review Committee noted that the overall quality of the 2025 entries had further improved compared with previous years. Several nominated achievements had been published in internationally authoritative journals, obtained important patent authorizations, or completed application verification in real engineering scenarios, reflecting the strong momentum of development in global intelligent engineering and technology.
The fifth annual award ceremony was held in December 2025 in a combined online and offline format. The offline main venue was located in Hong Kong, China, with simultaneous livestreaming worldwide. In the award address, the President of AIET stated: "The original purpose of establishing the Excellence Awards is to set industry benchmarks and encourage innovation and progress. The professionalism and innovation demonstrated by the 2025 winners in their respective fields reflect important directions in the development of intelligent engineering and technology." After the ceremony, the winner list and related achievements were formally released through the official AIET website and partner media platforms, and were permanently archived as publicly verifiable records.
