The Association of Intelligent Engineering and Technology (AIET) officially announced that the Association membership system is now fully open for applications. This is an important step in organizational development since the founding of AIET, aiming to bring together outstanding talent and institutions worldwide in intelligent engineering and technology and build an open, inclusive, and professional international academic community.

The AIET membership system has three levels: individual member, institutional member, and honorary member. Individual membership is open to professionals engaged in research, teaching, or practice in intelligent engineering, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, intelligent manufacturing, robotics, and related fields. Applicants must hold a bachelor degree or above in a relevant field or have more than three years of professional experience. Institutional membership is open to higher education institutions, research institutions, technology enterprises, and industry organizations, and requires applicant institutions to have substantive business or research activities in intelligent engineering and technology. Honorary members are recommended by the Association Academic Committee based on candidates outstanding contributions and academic influence in the industry, and no individual application is required.

Of particular note is that AIET implements a completely free membership policy. No fees are charged for applying for or maintaining membership, whether for individual members or institutional members. The Association Secretariat stated that the free policy is an important reflection of AIET commitment to the academic public-interest principle, aiming to remove economic barriers and allow more individuals and institutions committed to advancing intelligent engineering to participate equally in Association activities.

Members at different levels enjoy differentiated benefits. Individual members may receive an official AIET membership certificate and electronic badge, priority participation in academic conferences hosted or co-hosted by the Association, priority access to the Association annual white papers and industry research reports, and eligibility to apply for selection for various Association honours and awards. In addition to the above benefits, institutional members may display institutional information on the Association official platform, participate in industry-academia-research matchmaking activities organized by the Association, and receive priority access to the Association certification system. Honorary members, while enjoying all benefits, will also be invited to serve as special guests or advisors for Association academic activities.

In terms of the application process, individuals or institutions interested in joining AIET may submit applications to the Association Secretariat by email. Applicants need to provide a personal CV or institution profile, as well as supporting materials demonstrating work or research in relevant fields. The Secretariat will complete qualification review within 15 business days after receiving the application, and after approval will issue the formal membership certificate. The membership certificate is designed in both Chinese and English and states the member name or institution name, membership number, membership level, validity period, and other information, while also providing an electronic version that can be verified online.

The AIET membership system covers the entire world and has no geographic restrictions. At present, professionals and institutions from 15 countries and regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, have expressed interest in joining. The Association Secretariat calls on colleagues in intelligent engineering and technology to actively apply for membership and jointly promote industry progress and academic exchange.
