Activity Notice
The Association of Intelligent Engineering and Technology (AIET) will hold a briefing on standards development project proposals on 24 July 2026. The online session is intended for member organizations, research teams, Secretariat staff, and partner representatives considering participation in standards work. It will introduce documentation requirements and the subsequent workflow.
Standards-related work requires clear sources, orderly process records, and reliable communication. The briefing is designed to explain the relationship among materials from project solicitation through publication and to reduce repeated work caused by unclear versions, organizational roles, or document sources.
Programme
- The structure of the Standards Development section and maintenance of the four stages.
- Document checklists and common questions for project solicitation and proposal approval.
- The relationship among draft standards, comments, response notes, and version records.
- Verification of standard numbers, titles, dates, drafting information, and formal PDFs.
- Questions and follow-up communication.
Intended Participants
The session is suitable for leads from member organizations, project contacts from research teams, documentation staff, and partner representatives considering standards development work. Participants may prepare non-sensitive questions in advance but should not submit client information, internal parameters, or unauthorized files in an open exchange.
Preparation
Participants are encouraged to review the Standards Development section and prepare basic information on the project background, scope, existing basis, and expected participating organizations. Any draft or reference document should be checked for its version and source. The briefing does not provide advance approval for a particular proposal.
Participation
The online activity will take place on 24 July 2026. Access details, timing, and supplementary materials are governed by the Association Events page and confirmed Secretariat information. Any adjustment will be posted on the corresponding activity page.
Following the session, the Secretariat will refine the document checklist and working guidance based on questions raised. These materials support orderly preparation; the formal notice issued for each stage remains controlling.
